Short answer: You can’t run Quantity Button components directly inside a Price Test. However, they can still work alongside a Price Test if both are targeting the same product(s).

How Quantity Buttons Work

Quantity Button components belong to Offers (Experience or Offer Test), not Price Tests.

This means:

• Add Quantity Buttons in Offers, not Price Tests

• Price Tests adjust the base price

• Offers (and their components, like Quantity Buttons) calculate discounts on top of that base price.

How They Can Work Together

If you have:

• A Price Test running on a product and

• An Offer Experience or Offer Test (with Quantity Buttons) that includes the same product

…then the Quantity Button discount will use the Price Test’s adjusted base price instead of the original price.

Example:

1. Your tee shirt is normally $35.

2. You set up a volume discount Offer with Quantity Buttons component that gives $10 off each unit when buying two units.

3. Normally, that would display:

   • Base: $70 (2 units × $35 per tee)

   • Discount: -$20 ($10 per tee when purchasing 2 units)

   • Total: $50

4. Now, you start a Price Test that lowers the price from $35 per tee → $30 per tee for one test group.

5. For shoppers in that group:

   • Base: $60 (2 units × $30 per tee)

   • Discount: -$20 ($10 per tee when purchasing 2 units)

   • Total: $40

Quantity Buttons automatically adjust to the Price Test price in real time as long as the Offer and Price Tests are both live.
